Learn to paint with watercolors as you enjoy the Klamath River surroundings and its amazing spring wildflowers! All artistic levels are welcome in this workshop. Learn the basics of creating botanical watercolors from professional botanist, botanical illustrator, and teacher, Dr. Linda Ann Vorobik. Through demonstrations and lectures, Linda introduces participants to watercolor as a medium for painting plants. The first morning begins with a lecture and demonstrations of watercolor supplies and techniques followed by supervised drawing to create pencil drafts. Late morning and afternoon, Linda demonstrates different styles of botanical watercolor, alternating with independent work time. The second morning will begin with more advanced watercolor demonstrations. Most of the workshop will be devoted to participant drawing and painting with Linda supervising. The workshop closes with finishing watercolors, followed by a friendly critique of paintings produced.
If you don't have adequate art supplies, the instructor will bring extras.
