21st Century Learning Program

Evergeen Elementary & Lorna Byrne Middle Schools
Siskiyou Field Institute YEP provides after-school enrichment programs at Evergreen Elementary School and Lorna Byrne Middle School in Cave Junction. During the fall and spring, participants engage in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities to learn about natural history, positive communication, and leadership. In the summer, youth from
Illinois Valley Boys & Girls Club visit Deer Creek Center's (DCC) 850-acre campus. Students participate in field trips and overnight camps where they explore the creeks, through fun games, hike through fields and forests, and observe nature with their senses, while staying in yurts and enjoying campfires at DCC.
