Youth Education Programs

     

      Siskiyou Field Institute Youth Education Programs (YEP)

      provide environmental education and field-based programs

      for K-12 students to develop critical thinking skills through

     experiential lessons that engage, encourage and educate.

Youth Courses & Camps 2010
Camps and courses are available for the youngest naturalists to learn about the biological wonderland at Deer Creek Center.

Field Trip by Design - Groups & Families

SFI Youth Instructors will design a day of unique activities for your group!

Choose from the following topics for a 4 to 6 hour field trip at Deer Creek Center's 50-acre youth campus:


  •  Challenge Course Games & Communication Skill Building                 
  • Streams & Salmon
  • Geology & Geobotany
  • Water Quality Testing & Macro-invertebrates
  • Navigating with a Map and Compass on our Compass Course

Sliding scale fee available.

For overnight camps additional fees apply.
