2016 Aquatic Invertebrates

Learn the life history and habitat needs of aquatic insects and other macroinvertebrates in our local ponds and streams. Discover their roles in aquatic ecosystems. In this two-day course you’ll also learn sampling techniques, family-level identification and how to conduct invertebrate-based biological assessments. The class will include a lab portion for observing preserved specimens and field sessions for sampling, identification and bioassessment.
